Madhubala made her Hindi film debut as a leading actress with 'Neel Kamal'. During this time, love started between them, but Kamal was already married and after some time Madhubala and Kamal's relationship broke up.

After this, Madhubala and Dilip Kumar met on the set of the film 'Tarana' in 1951. Both of them were seen together in the famous film 'Mughal-e-Azam'. However, their relationship also did not progress further. In 1956, Madhubala met Kishore Kumar. The two got married in 1960.
