Kangana Ranaut unveils 20-feet poster of Rani Laxmi Bai biopic in Varanasi
Varanasi: Kangana Ranaut, who will now be seen playing the role of Rani Laxmi Bai in her next flick, has launched the 20-feet-long poster of the film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi at Dashashwamedh Ghat here, on Thursday.

The actress also took part in the evening aarti and took dips in the river at the Ganga Ghat.
The makers decided to unveil the poster in Varanasi because the freedom fighter Rani Laxmi Bai, originally known as Manikarnika, was born in the city in 1828.
During the launch, the actress said, "I'm so blessed to be here. With the blessings of Lord Shiva, we have launched it (the poster) here. After coming on board for this project, I started feeling like I've achieved something very big in my life."
Rangoon actress was also accompanied by music composer trio Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy, lyricist Prasoon Joshi and singer Richa Sharma.
The actress looked stunning in a net floral saree with a glittering silver blouse. The saree was designed by the famous designer Sabyasachi.
Directed by Telugu Director Krish, the movie is slated to release on April 27, 2018.
