Mumbai: Following Sonu Nigam's rage over Azaan by loudspeaker, now Bollywood actor Kangana Ranuat has expressed her views regarding the same.

Divulging her love for Azaan, 'Rangoon' actress said that during her shooting experiences in Lucknow, she found the sound of Azaan pleasant.

"I can't speak for anyone, but I personally love Azaan. When we were shooting for 'Tanu Weds Manu' in Lucknow, I loved the sound of it (Azaan), I can only speak for myself!" said Kangana Ranaut.

She, however, did not make any comment against Sonu Nigam and said singer’s opinion should be respected.

"Whatever religious activity, may it be at the gurudwara, or Bhagavad Gita, or Azaan, I personally like it a lot. I personally like going to places of worship like masjid, temple or church. Whatever Sonu said is his opinion and he should be respected for that,” said Kangana.

Earlier, Sonu Nigam had flaked controversy through objectionable tweets against Azaan.

“God bless everyone. I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India,” Nigam had tweeted.

In another tweet he wrote, “And by the way Mohammed did not have electricity when he made Islam… Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison?”

“I don’t believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity to wake up people who don’t follow the religion why then..? Honest? True?” he tweeted.
