I prepared Priyanka Chopra  for Quantico: Director Prakash Jha

Lucknow: Celebrated film maker Prakash Jha on Friday said that he was the one who prepared Bollywood film actress Priyanka Chopra for playing the role of an FBI agent in American television series ‘Quantico’.

The celebrated filmmaker Jha while promoting his yet to be released film ‘Jai Gangaajal’ at 1090 Women Power Line’s head quarter in Gomtinagar, advocated for introducing police as a subject in educational syllabus. Adding, fair sex should step out from the patriarchal system and should boldly face the society.

What Jha said:

• Girls are taught to stay in limits since birth but this practice should be abolished.
• Girls should step out and come forward for the development of society.
• Good work of police should be given a hype in media.
• Media publishes negative news because people are interested in it.
• Women are not just a part of population but a power.

Lauded the initiative 1090:

• The role of woman police officer is very tough.
• Women Power Line is a unique initiative in the country.
• Talked to one of the victim through telephone.
• Gave the lead role to a female actor after realizing the problems faced by them.

Jha’s acting debut:

Though Prakash Jha started his career as a film director in 1983 from the socio-political film Damul, Jha chose to stay behind the camera and after spanning close to 40 years he decided to act in his own venture,’Jai Gangaajal’. Prakash is playing a role of a cop in this film.

About Jai Ganga jal:

• This is the sequal of Gangaajal which came in 2004 with Ajay Devgan playing the lead role.
• It is written and directed by Prakash Jha.
• Film is co-produced by Milind Dabke.
• Lead role is based on a lady IPS officer.
