Lucknow: Bollywood’s famous singer turned actor Himesh Reshammiya, more often ridiculed for his nasal voice, has said that he was proud of his singing style and his 'nasal tone'. Himesh says that he loves to sing the way he does and will continue to do so.

“Initially I did not like my nasal tone but those 120 songs brought me fame and now I love my nose so much,” Himesh said laughingly.

He was in the state capital on Sunday to promote his upcoming movie 'Tera Suroor-2.'

In a query about getting his nose insured following the Bollywood trend to insure body parts, Himesh said that he will not do so as he believes that the blessings of his fans across the world will always work for him.

Tera Suroor 2 - an intense love story:

  • The film is based on the characters of Rahul and Tara.
  • Himesh Reshammiya, Naseeruddin Shah, Shekhar Kapoor and Kabir Bedi will be seen in lead roles.

Lost 20 kgs:

  • Himesh revealed that he sweated out hard to lose 20 kgs of weight and to make six pack abs.
  • He did not take any supplements to do so.
  • Consumed brandy for the first time.

Not a comeback:

  • Himesh stressed that Tera Suroor-2 was not a comeback movie but he is taking only selective projects now.
  • He also said that it is just the beginning of his journey as an actor and he still has a long way to go.
  • According to Himesh, singing and composition of songs have become more challenging nowadays.

The movie is Lucknow-Kanpur based:

  • Himesh said that he is currently working on a flick namely ‘Hiriye’ whose script is complete.
  • ‘Hiriye’ is based on Lucknow and Kanpur and would showcase the flavour of these cities.
  • Himesh has planned to include local actors in the casting of the film.
  • The search for the lead actress is still on.

Thankful to Bhaijaan (Salman Khan):

  • Speaking on a question about being mocked by Salman Khan, Himesh said that Salman never insulted him.
  • Himesh said that Salman helped him to reach where he stands today and he still composes music for many of the superstar’s movies.
