With the spike in coronavirus cases in the country, every new case has become alarming. Himani Shivpuri, who has a profound body of work on both television and films, has been found to be COVID 19 positive. Now she has been discharged from hospital and advised to be in home quarantine.

The actor took to social media to share the news. The 59-year-old actor was receiving treatment for the novel disease at Holy Spirit hospital after getting admitted on September 12.

Himani Shivpuri:

Shivpuri said the doctors have advised her to quarantine at home as there was an improvement in her health.

“There is improvement in my health and doctors suggested I should be in home quarantine for 15 days and then I will get myself tested again,” Shivpuri told PTI.

On Friday, the actor thanked healthcare workers in a post on her official Instagram page.

“A big thank you to our Covid warriors, the hospital staff, am back in home quarantine! Thank you all for your positive wishes,” Shivpuri had posted.

The actor is currently seen in &TV show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. Happu Ki Ultan Paltan also stars Yogesh Tripathi, Zahara Sethjiwala, Sanjay Choudhary and Vishwanath Chatterjee, among others. The show revolves around a police officer, who is aggressive on field but is a timid husband at home.

She had said that even though adequate safety measures were followed on the sets, she still doesn’t know how she contracted the disease.

Himani Shivpuri has shown her progress as an actress in a number of films including Hum Aapke Hai Koun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Koyla. She has also been part of a number of TV shows including Doli Armaano Ki, Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi.
