Large parts of North India is in the grip of severe cold wave conditions and a dense fog on Tuesday morning. The increase in fog, which started late at night, increased so much on Tuesday that visibility became very low that things a few meters away could not be seen.

The fog is so dense that drivers have to drive slowly with headlights on. Here, due to dense fog, flights and trains coming from North India have been affected.

The Meteorological Department has also warned of changing weather. The condition of fog is such that there is fog from Delhi to Madhya Pradesh. Due to dense fog, visibility has also reached 30 meters. Fog is also seen in Indore, Dewas, Jabalpur, Katni, Vidisha, Neemuch, Chhatarpur, Khajuraho, Sagar, Raisen areas of the state.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the western disturbance being active in North India till January 10 and the cyclonic winds forming in the Arabian Sea, there may be rain and hailstorm. More impact can be seen in Gwalior and Chambal divisions.

There is severe fog in the Gwalior-Chambal region adjoining North India. Visibility from Morena to Gwalior is so low that even a distance of 30 meters is not visible. Trains are running slowly. Drivers are also driving at slow speed with headlights on.

This area adjoining North India experiences dense fog every year. Every year there is no sunlight for many days in this area due to fog and clouds. According to the Meteorological Department, such a situation may persist for the next two-four days.

The effect of icy winds coming from North India is being seen till the capital Bhopal. Due to the southerly direction of the winds and moisture coming from the south, fog has formed. Trains passing through the capital are also running at a slow speed. Drivers are also facing problems. Since Bhopal city is a hilly area, the view has become like a hill station.
