HBD Shikhar Dhawan: Twirl your moustache as Gabbar turns 32
New Delhi: 'He twirls his moustache and his bat in style with splendid knock", this is what you hear most of the times when Gabbar crosses a century. The owner of most celebrated moustache in world Cricket, Shikhar Dhawan, turned 32 on Tuesday.
The cricketer has made a tremendous comeback in all the formats of the game after a poor-form which led to ouster from the side.
His audacious form in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 made selectors recall him again in red-ball Cricket. Dhawan lived up to their expectations, translating his ODI form in the longest format of the game. He hit two back-to-back tons on his return against Sri Lanka.
Dhawan gained much popularity when he registered his name in the record books for the fastest Test century byy a player debut. He played a whopping 174-ball 187-run knock in a home series against Australia in 2010.
Dhawan has got 11 tons and 22 fifties to his name in the ODIs. His highest score is 137 and averages 43.98.
In Tests, he played 28 matches off which he amassed 1962 runs and is 38 runs behind completing 2000.
