Happy Birthday Salman Khan: A look at Bhaijaan's highest grossing films

Lucknow: Film actor Salman Khan is a Bollywood actor who has dominated the film world for the last three decades. He could have established himself as a writer in films like his father Salim Khan, but he chose the path of acting rather than story writing and started his career in 1988 with the film Biwi Ho To Aisi. In this film, he entered as a supporting cast.

Bollywood ke Bhaijaan:

Salman Khan was born on 27 December 1965. His birth name is Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan. He is the elder son of his father's first wife Salma (Susheela). His grandfather immigrated from Afghanistan and settled in Madhya Pradesh. His mother is Marathi Hindu.

Salim Khan's second wife, Helen, is a former Bollywood actress. Salman has two brothers Arbaaz Khan and Suhail Khan and sisters Alvira and Arpita. Alvira is married to actor Atul Agnihotri.

Salman Khan's Film Career:

Salman got the lead role in the 1989 film Maine Pyar Kiya after 'Biwi Ho Toh Aisa'. For this he was also awarded the Filmfare Best Debutant Actor Award. Salman Khan continued to play the starring role in some of the successful Bollywood films.

Such as Saajan (1991), Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994) and Hum Saath Saath Hain, Biwi no. 1 (1999) and these were the films which grossed the most in five different years in his career.

In the nineties, his Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) created storm. This was followed by Tere Naam (2003), No Entry (2005) and Partner (2007) Wanted (2009), Dabangg (2010), Reddy (2011) and Bodyguard (2011), among the highest-grossing films in the Hindi cine world. Kick (2014) is Salman's first film to join the 200 crore club.
