Mumbai: Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor is celebrating his 64th birthday on 24 December. Anil, who has spent more than 4 decades in the industry, has played many interesting characters in his career ranging from action, romance, comedy and is still active in films. However, this success was not easy for Anil. Despite being a family background film, he had to struggle for his share.

Films, Career and Personal Life:

Anil Kapoor was born on 24 December 1956 in Chembur, Mumbai. He is the son of well-known filmmaker Surendra Kapoor. His elder brother Boney Kapoor is a famous producer and his younger brother Sanjay Kapoor is also an actor. In 1984, Anil Kapoor is married to Sunita Kapoor, with whom he has three children, two girls Sonam Kapoor and Riya Kapoor and one boy Harshvardhan, of which Sonam Kapoor is also an actress.

Debut from 'Hamare Tumhare':

Anil Kapoor made his acting debut in the year 1979 with the film 'Hamare Tumhare', in which he had a small character. Anil had told in an interview that in 1979-80 he started his career as a background dancer. He also did small roles in Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films.

Anil got an opportunity to play the lead role in the 1983 film 'Woh Saat Din ', after which he did not look back. Let's know about his superhit films.

Anil Kapoor gave 13 hits in the nineties. His heroine and tremendous performance in Ishwar was highly praised in the film Idristi. His role in the film Lamhe was liked by the people.
