Gangubai Kathiawadi shoot put on hold as filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali tests COVID 19 positive

After Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor tested positive for COVID 19, now filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has also tested positive. In Maharashtra, positive cases have been on a rise. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been busy with the shooting of his upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi which stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role. The teaser of the film was released on his birthday and had received an overwhelming response from the audience.

Gangubai Kathiawadi shoot put on hold

As per our sources, the filmmaker has been tested positive and he is under quarantine. He was filming for Gangubai Kathiawadi with actor Ajay Devgn. The actor has an extended appearance in this period drama. Reportedly, Sanjay has been quarantined in his office and his mother has also taken COVID 19 test. The shooting of the film has been halted. The official statement has not been released till now.

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Leela Bhansalli have reunited after 22 years. Ajay Devgn had shared a post on his Instagram and wrote, “Back on Sanjay’s set after two decades; feels good!” Over the last few months, Ajay Devgn has been shooting for his directorial MayDay, which features him and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. It is said to be an edge of the seat drama set against the backdrop of the aviation sector.

Speaking of Gangubai Kathiawadi teaser, the Raazi actress has donned a never-before-seen avatar as the owner of a brothel and it also gave a glimpse of her powerful role in the film.
