Filmmaker Honey Trehan Tests Positive For COVID-19

Director Honey Trehan has tested positive for coronavirus. The Raat Baaki Hai director on Thursday took to Twitter to share the news. He also wrote that his family and staff will get a COVID-19 test done soon.

Honey Trehan tweeted, “I have tested COVID positive today..BMC and the other authorities been informed as well. My family and the staff will be getting tested soon. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are kindly requested to please get themselves tested!”

Casting director Honey Trehan turned director with Raat Baaki Hai, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte in the lead roles. The movie released on Netflix to rave reviews.

Prior to his directorial debut, Honey Trehan worked as casting director on several films such as Sonchiriya, Udta Punjab, Talvar and Dedh Ishqiya.

COVID-19:

Film and TV shoots have been allowed to resume in different parts of the country. The shoots were halted due to the outbreak in March. Filmmakers and producers welcomed the government's decision to allow film and TV's shoot.

On Wednesday, India reported highest number of cases than any country has ever recorded in single day since the outbreak. With this, the total number of cases went past 33 lakh, of which 60,472 people have succumbed to the pandemic. 7,25,991 are active cases while 25,23,771 have recovered so far, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
