‘Marathi Mulgi’ Fatima Sana Shaikh looks gorgeous in “Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari”

The “Dangal” star is essaying the role of a Marathi girl in the film, being directed by Abhishek Sharma of “The Zoya Factor” and “Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran” fame.

Mumbai:  The makers of “Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari” on Friday revealed actor Fatima Sana Shaikh’s first look from the movie.

The “Dangal” star is essaying the role of a Marathi girl in the film, being directed by Abhishek Sharma of “The Zoya Factor” and “Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran” fame.

“Her character has a dual personality for which we needed an actor who could play vulnerable, mysterious and assertive with equal ease.

“Fatima is an excellent talent who has the quality to get into all these emotions at will. She is extremely punctual, very involved and dedicated with her work. Her infectious enthusiasm keeps us all energized on the set,” Abhishek said in a statement.

The film also features Manoj Bajpayee and Diljit Dosanjh in pivotal roles.

“Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari”, produced by Zee Studios production, is currently being shot in various locations in Mumbai. It will release later this year.

Fatima shared her first look on her social media ccount. Sharing it, Fatima wrote: “Ye Marathi mulgi padegi sab pe bhari! #FirstLook from #SurajPeMangalBhari! Happy #ValentinesDay, you all! Let there be only love! #AbhishekSharma @bajpayee.manoj @diljitdosanjh @zeestudiosofficial”.

Fatima Sana Shaikh got fame from the movie “Dangal”. She has won so many awards for her role as Geeta Phogat in Dangal. After this movie she was seen in Thugs of Hindostan in an important role with Amir Khan and Katreena Kaif.

Fatima is active in entertainment industry since her childhood. She has acted in a masterpiece “Chachi 420”. She was also appeared in few TV series. Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, a family comedy set in the 90s Mumbai, also stars Diljit Dosanjh.

The film, produced by Zee Studios, is likely to release in the second half of the year.
