Ed Sheeran quits Twitter | Here is the reason...

London: Singer Edward Christopher Sheeran has quit Twitter after facing nasty comments from online trolls.

The 'Galway girl' star said that everytime he logs onto the social networking site, he ends up seeing negative tweets.

"I go on it and there's nothing but people saying mean things. Twitter's a platform for that. One comment ruins your day. But that's why I've come off it. The head-f**k for me has been trying to work out why people dislike me so much," Sheeran stated.

The 26-year-old Shape of You singer said, "I have people like my dad who will have a conversation with me. I do not need stranger. I don't want anyone calling me a whatever."

Sheeran's twitter account will post the tweets automatically from his Instagram account, but he would not be using it himself.

It may also be recalled that in November 2012, singer Adele also temporarily quit Twitter after she received death threats directed towards her and her baby.
