Mumbai: Yesteryear Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar was hospitalised to Lilavati hospital in Mumbai on Friday night.

According to the sources he was hospitalised in the midnight, family sources said.

"Kumar sahab was having high fever and vomited for few times.He is suffering for pneumonia and his white blood cells have shot up.There is nothing to worry," said Dr. Jalil Parkar.

  • The 93-year-old, Dilip Kumar, also known as the 'Tragedy King' of bollywood gave hits like-- Madhumati, Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam, Ganga Jamuna etc.
  • He was crowned as 'Tragedy King' for as he played the role of doomed lover in movies like," Andaz", "Baabul", "Mela", "Deedar", "Jogan" etc.
  • Dilip Kumar was last seen in the movie "Qila".
  • He bagged Padma Bhushan in 1991 and Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994.
  • He was also awarded as Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
