Cinema body bans release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, SRK's Raees
Mumbai: Cinema Owners and Exhibitors Association on Friday has demanded a ban over the release of Bollywood films having Pakistani artistes in it. Films to come under the ire of Cine Owners include Karan Johar directorial Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM), Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees and Dear Zindagi and Irrfan Khan's Hindi Medium.
Nitin Datar, Chief of Cine Owners Association said, "Till the relations between India and Pakistan become normal, no films with Pakistani actors can be released."
Datar said that the decision has been put in place in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and parts of Karnataka and other states have been asked to join the protest against Pak artists.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil stars Fawad Khan, Raees has Mahira Khan in lead, Hindi Medium will see Saba Qamar playing pivotol role and Dear Zindagi has Ali Zafar in important role.
The decision has been taken as token of protest against the Pakistani artistes after soaring tensions across the border between the neighbouring nations post Uri Attacks in which 20 soldiers were martyred.
