'Chhapaak' producers to take action for Deepika-Vikrant leaked scenes

Mumbai: In the much-awaited upcoming film Chhapaak, Deepika Padukone plays acid attack victim Lazmi Agarwal. The film also features co-star Vikrant Massey, who rewcently appeared in Amazon Prime Video’s gangster drama Mirzapur, and delivered an acclaimed performance in Konkona Sen Sharma’s A Death in the Gunj.

Ever since the two have started shooting for the film, several photos and videos from the shoot have been leaked online. These videos were shared by several fan accounts of Instagram and other social media.

Now, the producers of Chhapaak are going to take actions to clamp down this illegal sharing of scenes from the film. According to sources, the producers might be taking strict action which includes serving legal notice to all parties who have shared the leaked video from the sets of Chhapaak.

Principal photography of the film began in February 2019, and it is scheduled for release on January 10, 2020. It also marks Deepika's first project as producer.
