Mumbai: Famous author Chetan Bhagat (44) makes an apology online when his private whatsApp conversation with a woman journalist was leaked on twitter in connection with sexual harassment.

After their chat went viral on social networking site people from all the corner criticising and trolling him for being so cheesy.

It is worth mentioning that he is a married man with two children.

In the screenshot it could be seen that Chetan has really developed some liking for the girl and wants her to be wooed by his moves.

Mr Bhagat said, he found her sweet, cute, funny and a nice human being so wanted to woo her. He further said that he has met someone like this after a long time who could engage him and keep up with his pace of thought.

May have "misread" the friendliness and "was going through a phase." He goes on to clarify that there was "nothing physical, no lewd pictures or words that were ever exchange."

But the best-seller author "wanted to make a couple of points about the screenshots that someone has shared ," in a note on facebook.

He also apologises for the way he conducted himself and verifies the authenticity of the chat screenshot.

Mr Bhagat said,"But first of all, I am really sorry to person concerned. The screenshots are of course real, and I am sorry if you felt they were wrong I hope you will accept my apology."

The new online trend of #MeToo provides platform to people who want to share their piece of story about any kind of sexual harassment. many people have come so far and shared their stories. Recently, Tanushree Dutta has taken up stand against veterinarian actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment. Tanushree has filed a complaint against Nana with the Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai yesterday. It is however, yet to be confirmed if the First Information Report (FIR) has been registered on the basis of her complaint.
