Mumbai: Bollywood has a warm heart and it welcomes everyone from all sections of the society. It has given space to people from all corners of the country as well as the world. But at times, Mumbai city doesn't behave like its very own B'wood.

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein fame Shireen Mirza

The actor who is doing well in her professional life, found it hard to live in Mumbai as no one was letting her rent their houses. Landlords refused to give her place just because she is an MBA, no not the education one. MBA here stands for Muslim, Bachelor and Actor.

Lauren Gottlieb

The actor, who came to Mumbai to earn her name in acting field, struggled a lot to find a house. Around 20 landlords rejected her to give their residence. While talking to daily news channel, she stated, "I was a top contestant on one of the biggest shows, but I wasn't even given a home in this country. I checked out many places in Andheri, Juhu and Bandra - 37, to be precise."

Emraan Hashmi

It is very sad to hear when one of the best actors of the Bollywood has to face such problems. In 2009, when Emraan wanted to buy a house, he was not granted permission to do so and the reason is that he is a Muslim.

He also filed a complaint with the State Minorities' Commission, demanding action against the members of the housing society.

Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar:

The duo also struggled a lot to get a house in Mumbai. In an interview, Shabana once shared, "I wanted to buy a flat in Bombay, and it wasn't given to me because I was a Muslim and I read the same about Saif Ali Khan. Now, I mean, if Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi cannot get a flat in Bombay because they are Muslims, then what are we talking about!"

Eijaz Khan:

The actor who was seen in many television shows like Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage, Kkavyanjali and films like Tanu Weds Manu also found it difficult to find a house in Mumbai. The actor stated, "I have tried every nook and corner of Bandra but in vain. While members of my community don't want to rent out their flats to me because I have two dogs, Hindus and Christians refuse because I am a Muslim."
