New Delhi: Suddenly Boycott Radhika Apte campaign is trending on Twitter against the famous actress Radhika Apte for her strong performance. The reason behind this campaign is said to be Radhika's film 'Parched', in which Radhika shot some bold scenes with her co-stars. Users are tweeting these scenes as against Indian culture.

Apart from web series, Radhika has played lead roles in films like Manjhi – The Mountainman, Padman and Andhadhun.

Parched was released in India in 2016. This film was directed by Leena Yadav. Ajay Devgan co-produced the film. The story of Parched is set in a village in Gujarat and revolves around four women Rani (Tannishtha Chatterjee), Lajjo (Radhika Apte), Bijli (Surveen Chawla) and Janki (Lahar Khan).

These characters were played by Radhika Apte, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Surveen Chawla. The story of the film was based on the status of women in the society and their emotional struggle. Parched was also screened at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival.
