Bollywood bursts on heart-wrenching elephant's incident

New Delhi: An absolute inhumane incident which took place in Kerala's Mallapuram area has put humanity under question. 15-year-old pregnant elephant lost her life when she was fed cracker laden pineapple by callous villagers. She died right after the explosion took in her mouth while standing in Veliyar river.

The Elephant was from Silent Valley National Park(SVNP), Pallakad, and came to the village in search of food.

The postmortem revealed that the helpless elephant died to the explosives in the cracker and accused is yet under the search.

Animal Rights Activist, Gauri Maulekhi stated

"This is not an isolated incident. Last month, the Kerala government allowed killing of wild boars in whatever way people wanted to. Instead of the wild boar, the elephant consumed the firecracker laden fruit."

Our favorite Bollywood stars didn't stay back talking about the heinous crime. They vent their anger out on social media. Several of them took to their Instagram, and Twitter and put forward their honest opinions. Anushka Sharma wrote on Instagram, strict laws should come up against animal brutality. Aalia Bhatt on the same platform stated “We need to be their voice and coexist! Is this meant to be some kind of sick joke??”
