Mumbai: ‘Pavitra Rishta’ fame TV personality and now a big name in film Industry, Sushant Singh Rajput is celebrating his 33rd birthday, today.

After a successful journey on television, Sushant has established himself as one of the best talents of his craft.

Born in a village in Bihar's Purnea district, Sushant moved from Patna to Delhi after his mother’s death in year 2002.

Sushant has done hit films including 'Kai Po Che!' (2013), 'Byomkesh Bakshy' (2015) and 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story' (2016).

On his 33rd birthday Newstrack.com unveils some unknown facts of this charming and brilliant actor, Sushant Singh Rajput :

- Sushant was an engineering student when he realized that he is much more passionate about theater.

-He dropped out from college to pursue career in acting.

-Very few people know that one of his sisters, Ritu Singh, is a state-level cricketer.

-Besides acting, Sushant is best at dancing too. He was Shiamak Davar’s student.

-Sushant was chosen to be one of the groups of background dancers at the 51st Filmfare Awards. He also performed in the cultural program at the opening ceremony of the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

-He landed the role of Preet Juneja in 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil' in 2008. This was the first soap opera of Sushant’s TV career.

-After doing 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil', Sushant did another TV show, named ‘Pavitra Rishta’, where he met Ankita Lokhande.

- Sushant also won a season of 'Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa', a celebrity dance show.

- Kai Po Che was his first Bollywood movie.

- Sushant's second movie was 'Shuddh Desi Romance', alongside Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor.

- Sushant's next role was in Rajkumar Hirani's 2014 film 'PK'.

-After PK, Sushant got mystery thriller Detective 'Byomkesh Bakshy'.

- In 2016, Sushant appeared in Neeraj Pandey's biographical sports film ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’, in lead role of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

- In June 2017, Rajput appeared in Dinesh Vijan's 'Raabta', co-starring Kriti Sanon.

- Sushant will now be seen in 'Sonchiriya', 'Drive' and 'Chhichhore'.
