Manoj Kumar is still famous as Bharat Kumar. He made his first film Upkar in 1967 as a producer-director. Then Manoj Kumar named his character Bharat. Today, it has been 53 years.

Manoj Kumar awarded with 'Padma Shri':

Manoj Kumar was named Bharat in only five films. These five films were made by Bharat Kumar himself. However, in these films, a film 'Clerk' was badly flopped. That is why most people do not even remember the name of the film 'Clerk' in 1989. Let us tell you here that Bharat Kumar became Bharat Kumar only because of his four films. These four films are 'Upkar', 'Poorab aur Paschim', 'Roti Kapada Aur Makan' and 'Kranti'.
