New Delhi: Bollywood actor Aditya Roy Kapur was born on 16 November 1985 in a Punjabi family in Mumbai. Father's name is Kumud Roy Kapur and mother's name is Shalomi Aaron. His grandfather Raghupat Roy Kapur was a film producer in the 1940s. His schooling took place in Mumbai itself. He was not very good in studies but Aditya was fond of acting from the beginning.

Birthday Special:

Aditya started his career as a VJ (Video Jockey). Aditya's unique comic style hosting was well-liked in Channel V India Music Channel. He used to do a show for that channel whose name was 'Pake with Channel V' Apart from this, he also used to host many shows. He worked as a VJ for a long time.

Debut from 'London Dreams':

Aditya started his acting career as a supporting actor. He acted in a supporting role in the 2009 comedy drama film 'London Dreams'. There were big actors like Salman and Ajay Devgan in this film. Even after this, the process of supporting actor continued. Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai's film 'Action Replayy' then also did supporting role in Hrithik Roshan's film 'Guzaarish'.


Biggest turning point 'Aashiqui 2':

Aditya Roy Kapur's life changed in 2013 when his film Aashiqui 2 was released. Shraddha Kapoor was with him in that film. The film not only recognized his performance but also became one of the highest-grossing films of that year at the box office. After this, Aditya started getting films with lead roles as well.


Aditya Kapoor has done 'Daawat-e-Ishq', 'Fitoor', 'Dear Zindagi', 'Ok Jaanu', 'Welcome to New York', 'Kalank', 'Malang', 'Sadak 2' and 'Sadak 2' since Aashiqui 2. Worked in films like 'Ludo'.
