Bhojpuri actor Anjali Srivastava found dead in her Juhu apartment

Mumbai: Renowned Bhojpuri actor Anjali Srivastava was found dead in her apartment in Mumbai on Monday, said the police.

According to the report registered at the DN Nagar police station, the 29-year-old actor was found dead at her Juhu-based apartment when police reached at her residence at noon on Monday.

According to the reports, Anjali's parents contacted police when they failed to get in touch with her despite several attempts. She was dwelling in a rented apartment in the Parimal Society in a posh locale of Juhu.

Her body was found when police asked the landlord to open the house with a duplicate key.

When the police entered the room, they allegedly found Anjali Srivastava hanging to a ceiling fan with a saree. Her dead body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for a postmortem. Prima facia, it looed to be a suicide case, but as no suicide note was found, the police haslaunched further investigation into the matter.

Anjali last worked for a Bhojpuri project, titled Kehu Ta Dil Mein Ba, which also starred Aditya Kashyap, Gopal Rai, Prem Dubey and Raja in essential characters. She has worked in several Bhojpuri films in her career.

Two week ago, another actor Kritika Choudhary was found dead in her apartment. Her decomposed body was found when police entered her flat after her neighbours complained of a foul smell from her flat.
