Annabelle Creation: A movie steeped in cliche...!

Lucknow: Expectations were really high from Annabelle Creation when sources reported that the flick is the prequel of conjuring, which will reveal how that 'hideous doll', which wreaked havoc, actually got created. But no sooner did the film release, it brought flood of disappointments.

The movie showed that the maker of that 'bug-eyed' doll loses his daughter in a car accident and twelve years later he opens his home to the six orphan girls and a nun accompanying them! From there the eeriness begins! While exploring that house, one of the girls from orphanage gets into the locked room in which she found that old rattled doll.

Now, of course, the doll haunts everyone in that house and we get jump scares, but despite this, there is no smidgen of inventiveness.

Light goes out, furnitures fall, record player starts playing on its own etc. are the 'same old stuffs' related to horror films follows, looks like the director is running out of ideas. Also, this time one will get tired of caring about characters because they are doing idiotic things in the face of danger.

For instance, why are they letting cripple girl sleep alone in a room when they know things are not going right at home! 'same old things' is the line which describes the film in the best manner!
