KBC episode featuring Anand Kumar tops TRP rating

Mumbai: The BARC ratings are out and the Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) season nine that featured an episode of Super 30 founder Anand Kumar topped the Target Rating Points (TRP).

The episode that was aired on September 2 on Sony Entertainment Television, received 6,798,000 impressions.

A post from the handle, Bachchan World read, "Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) ratings: Week 36 (2017); KBC soars up to 1 slot. The magic of Amitabh Bachchan continues."

To which, Amitabh, who hosts the show, replied, "Oh. Did not realise this. Thank you world."

Anand, a mathematician and founder of educational programme Super 30, was invited as a special guest on the knowledge-based game show. After giving the answers of the seven questions, with assistance from his former student Anup Kumar, Anand won Rs 25 lakh.

It may be mentioned that a biopic on Anand Kumar is also in the works.

The film will be directorial venture of Vikas Bahl who has earlier helmed critically acclaimed movies like Queen, Udta Punjab, Lootera and NH 10. Hrithik Roshan will portray the role of Anand Kumar.
