Lucknow: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on Wednesday promoted the upcoming film Akira, helmed by the Holiday director AR Murugadoss, on the banks of the River Gomti in the city of Nawabs, Lucknow.

Heaping praises on the lead actress of the film Sonakshi Sinha, Khiladi Kumar talked about the power of women in India, insisting his fans to watch out Akira to see what women of our country can do.

Akshay, who is shooting for his upcoming film Jolly LLB 2 in Lucknow, took to the micro-blogging website Twitter to share a video with millions of his fans.

He said, “Hello everyone, at the moment I am in good old Lucknow and behind me is Gomti river and super happy about how women of this country are

creating history with their achievements and in a few days Sonakshi is coming with ‘Akira’ showing us how kick-ass women of India can really be. So guys, don’ forget September 2 and yes one advice, never underestimate the power of an extremely pits of women especially when she is Sonakshi as Akira.”

Akki, who is in the city for 21 days, recently met the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and applauded the state government’s efforts towards making lucrative policies to comfort the film fraternity.

Meanwhile, Jolly LLB 2, which also stars Paresh Rawal, is scheduled to release on February 10.
