Why does Akshay Kumar desperately need awards?

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is at the peak of his career and at this phase he needs awards desperately. We are not saying this; Khiladi Kumar himself admitted the same in the Zee Cine Awards 2018.

Yes, Akki was felicitated with Viewers Choice Best Actor award for the film, 'Jolly LLB 2' while his film, “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha” won two awards in Extra Ordinary Impact and Viewers Choice Best Film Award.

Thanking the cinegoers, Akshay called the moment special and said that he 'desperately' needs awards.

“Thank you for this award, I think I desperately need awards. This is special because it is coming from the audience," said sarcastic Akshay Kumar.

'Housefull 3' actor, also known for his grounded persona, has been seen making fun of himself many a times.

Akshay also promoted his upcoming flick, 'Padman', which is slated to hit the theatres on January 26. "Padman" is a Hindi comedy-drama film directed by Balki, featuring Akshay, Sonam Kapoor, and Radhika Apte.
