Akshay Kumar speaks out over neglect of ‘Airlift’ in award functions

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is one such name who keeps on proving why he is man of the millions. This is for the first time when the actor has spoken over his superhit film ‘Airlift’ being sidelined at award ceremonies.

“That’s okay because maybe I don’t deserve it. There are many people who have done much better so they get it,” said humble Akshay Kumar when asked about the neglect of ‘Airlift’ in award functions.

‘Baby’ actor, however, believes that rewards matter more than awards and for him the love of his fans is no less than any reward.

It may be recalled here that Akshay became the only actor ever to score three centuries with three biggies (Airlift, Housefull 3 and Rustom) in a single calendar year (2016).

Earlier, Akki fans have lashed out at Filmfare for not even nominating a film like ‘Airlift’.

On work front, Khiladi Kumar is busy in the promotions of his upcoming flick, 'Jolly LLB 2'. The film is scheduled to release on February 10.
