100cr club: Akshay Kumar set to deliver four in a row with ‘JLLB 2’

Mumbai: Bollywood always had a habit of seeing Khans delivering hits back to back but superstar Akshay Kumar has come out of the blue with consecutive hits at the Box Office. Akshay, the hit machine, is set to his record fourth consecutive 100-cr film in a single year with recently released flick, ‘Jolly LLB 2’.

At one hand, Khans are pouring in one or two film in a calendar year, this unstoppable force called Akshay Kumar is leaving trade pundits wonder by finishing films within 30-40 days. The short time span is acting as icing on the cake for producers as they are earning some big numbers without investing much labour and time on a single project.

Moving to ‘Jolly LLB 2’, this court-room drama film has earned Rs 88.20 crore till Saturday and with no big release this week, the film is expected to have another jolly weekend, helping it cross 100-cr mark.

In 2016, Khiladi Kumar became the only actor ever to score three centuries with three biggies (Airlift, Housefull 3 and Rustom) in a single calendar year.
