Haryana Assembly Elections: Wrestler Vinesh Phogat meets Rahul Gandhi along with Bajrang Punia

Preparations for the Haryana Assembly Elections are in full swing. Meanwhile, wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia have met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

This meeting is taking place during the election time, so according to sources, Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat may get assembly tickets. Both wrestlers will be seen contesting on behalf of Congress.

During the elections, it was being speculated that Vinesh could contest from Dadri assembly on a Congress ticket. Amidst these discussions, she has come to meet Rahul Gandhi. The photo of this meeting has been shared by the Congress party from its ex handle.

After this, it is considered certain that both the wrestlers will enter the electoral fray.

Vinesh Phogat made headlines recently after her disqualification from the 50 kg gold medal bout at the Paris Olympics for being 100 grams overweight. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) also rejected her petition to be awarded a joint silver.
