UPHESC: Written test for teacher recruitment in UP's Universities; check all details

LUCKNOW: Major changes have been made in the recruitment process of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in all the state universities of the state Uttar Pradesh. This will curb the arbitrariness of the vice-chancellors in selection. The interview will now be of only 10 marks in the selection to the posts of Assistant Professor. For the first time, a provision for written examination has also been made. This exam will be of 20 marks. 20 points have been set on the power point presentation in front of the selection committee and the students.

Major Changes:

Chancellor and Governor Anandiben Patel of State Universities has issued an order in this regard. This change has been made for transparency in selection. All the eligible candidates who applied earlier were called for interview and selection was made from the interview itself. The selection committee headed by the vice-chancellor used to give marks on different points, including the merit of the interviewee, but it was not disclosed to the candidate.

In order to implement uniform selection process in all universities, the Chancellor had constituted a committee consisting of five Vice Chancellors of General (Higher Education) University, Agricultural University, Technical University and Medical University. It was decided to implement uniform selection procedure based on the consensus formed between this committee.

There will be audio and video recording of the interview process and it will be the responsibility of the Vice Chancellor to keep it safe for at least three months. LIVE demo of class should be given.

In the selection of Assistant Professor, a total of 100 marks will be given in this way.

Basic Academic Score -20 marks based on Bachelor / Masters / MPhil and equivalent degree

-30 points based on the calculation of the Academic Performance Indicator (API) according to the arrangement set by the UGC and other regulatory bodies

Written test -20 marks for the subject information

Power Point Presentation-20 marks in front of the selection committee and 15-20 students for examining the information on working on computers for online classes.

Interview-10 Marks

In the selection of Associate Professor and Professor, a total of 100 marks will be given as follows.

Basic Academic Score -20 marks based on Bachelor / Masters / MPhil and equivalent degree

-60 marks based on the calculation of the Academic Performance Indicator (API) as per the arrangement laid down by the UGC or other regulatory bodies

Interview -20 marks
