UP Police announces 552 vacancies for women jail warders

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) on Tuesday announced 552 vacancies of women Jail Warders for direct recruitment in jail administration and reform department.

Declaring the opening for the posts through a notification on the official website, the department said the online registration will open on December 21, 2016 and the last date of registration will be January 30, 2017.

The application fees will be accepted till February 1, 2017 while the last date for submitting the complete application is February 4, 2017. The application fee is Rs 200 per registration.

The UP Police said that the pay band of the jail warders will be 5200-20200 and the grade pay will be 2000. One should be 10th or 12th pass to apply for the post. The applicant should not be younger than 18 years and older than 25 years to be eligible for application.

Among the 552 vacancies, 149 are reserved for OBC, 115 for Scheduled Caste and 11 for Scheduled Tribe categories.

All other reservations, such as Freedom Fighter and Ex-servicemen, will be provided as per the set norms.
