Lucknow: Election Commission (EC) on Thursday has issued an advisory to all five poll-bound states, asking them to schedule board exams after consulting it.

Notifications to the state governments have been issued to avoid any clash in the board exams and the assembly polls due next year.

The states of Goa, Manipur, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh will be going to polls early next year.

Uttar Pradesh Board (UP Board) has already announced the board exams dates, beginning from Feb 16.
