CBSE denies 'WhatsApp leak' of Accountancy paper

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has denied all the allegations regarding the 'WhatsApp leak' of the Accountancy paper for Class 12th exam.

The Board stated, "There has been no leakage of the question paper. All the seals have been found intact at all the Exam centres. During the process of Examination, however, at local level, some miscreants have tried to play mischief by circulating messages through WhatsApp and other social media to disturb the sanctity of examinations."

"The board has decided to take strict action against such activities. An FIR will be lodged by CBSE today, "the Board added.

It may be mentioned that, earlier there were rumours that Accountancy paper of Class 12th were allegedly leaked on Whatsapp.

Earlier, in the day, following complaints about the Class 12 CBSE Accountancy paper being leaked, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had ordered an inquiry into it.

"Received complaints about the Class 12 CBSE Accountancy paper being leaked. Have asked officers of Directorate of Education to investigate and lodge a complaint with the CBSE," Sisodia said in a tweet.

The Minister also said that swift action must be taken so that hard-working students do not suffer due to the negligence of the Central Board of Secondary Education.
