New Delhi: Demand for cancellation of CBSE examinations is rising amidst growing threat of Corona virus. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an important meeting with Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank'.

While giving an update about the meeting with PM Modi, the Education Minister informed that the CBSE Board 12th examinations, which were to be held from May 4 to June 14, have been postponed for the time being.

The new datesheet for these exams will be released later. However, the status for conducting these exams will be assessed on 1 June 2021. Also, the candidates will be given at least 15 days time for preparation.

In the meeting held with the Prime Minister today, it has been decided to evaluate the students on the basis of internal assessment along with the cancellation of the CBSE Board's 10th examinations.

The demand for postponement or cancellation of CBSE board examinations is increasing in view of the growing cases of Corona pandemic infection across the country and the restrictions being imposed in various states for prevention.
