Kejriwal surrenders in Tihar Jail

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal surrendered in Tihar Jail on Sunday. Before this, he went to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office and met workers. He said, 'I am going to jail to save the country. I don't know when I will come back. I don't know what will happen to me there.'
The Delhi CM said, 'The exit polls for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections came out yesterday. Take it in writing, all these exit polls are fake. One exit poll had given 33 seats to the BJP in Rajasthan, while there are only 25 seats there. The real issue is why did they have to do this? They must have been pressurized.'
The Delhi Chief Minister first reached Rajghat at 3:30 pm. There he paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's Samadhi. After this, Kejriwal also visited the Hanuman temple located at Connaught Place. After this, he reached the Aam Aadmi Party office.
His interim bail in the Delhi liquor policy case ended on Saturday (June 1). The Supreme Court had granted him interim bail on May 10 for election campaigning.
Kejriwal has thanked the Supreme Court for granting him bail. While expressing his gratitude, he wrote on X "The Supreme Court gave me bail for 21 days for election campaigning. I want to thank the Supreme Court for this. Today, I am going to Tihar Jail again. I did not waste even a minute in these 21 days. I only campaigned."
"AAP is not important for me, the country is important for us. I want to tell the people of Delhi that I have done a scam. I am going to jail again because I have raised my voice against dictatorship", he said.
Kejriwal came out of Tihar Jail on May 10 after 39 days. The ED arrested him on March 21. Before this, the investigating agency had sent him 9 summons. However, Kejriwal did not appear before the investigating agency even once for questioning.
