Ambedkar Nagar: Downplaying the forensic report in the wake of Dadri lynching case which said the piece of flesh found in the refrigerator of the victim was beef, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav turned the table on the investigators asking for the veracity of the report.

The statement of UP CM comes across as a surprising observation as the report was prepared by the state forensic lab at Mathura. “Where was the sample sent and who received it? Everyone wants justice for the victim family,” said Chief Ministere of Akhilesh Yadav while talking to media in Ambedkar Nagar district in Uttar Pradesh.

The report which came in the media only a day before confirmed that the piece of meat was of the 'cow or its progeny' which was recovered from the house of Akhlaq in Dadri of Bishara block of Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh on September 28 last year.

Opposition reacts:

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP said that it was an attempt to insult Hindu community and demanded to withdraw all the facilities and solatium given Akhlaq’s family.
