Thirteen Uttar Pradesh PPS officers promoted to IPS rank

Lucknow: Thirteen service cadre police officers of Uttar Pradesh were promoted to the post of IPS, on Monday. Abhay Singh, the secretary of Union Home Ministry confirmed the news and said there are three more officials whose posts have not been upgraded due to some disciplinary enquiries pending against them.

He stated that the remaining officers would also be appointed on the IPS post as soon as the proceedings of enquiries are completed.

The promoted Officers:

• The list of promoted officers contains the names of PPS officers of 1987 to 1999 batches.
• The list of newly appointed officers includes-- Ashok Kumar, Rampal, Pramod Kumar, Santosh Singh, Amrendra Singh, Akhilesh Nigam, Mahendra Yadav, Lallan Singh, Ajay Shankar Rai, Lallan Rai, Rahul Yadvendu, Kamleshwari Chandra and Lala Ram.

Officers yet to be promoted:

• The three officers who are not yet promoted due to enquiries against them include--Amit Mishra, Jai Prakash Singh and Shailesh Yadav.
