Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Police has arrested a Father-Son duo for a heinous crime of sexual assault with two minor identical twin girls.

The two identical twin girls were being raped for months by their neighbours with support from girls mother. According to the police, "Jaffar (40) and his minor son were allegedly raping two sisters over the past one year with the help of twins family member."

According to DCP Padmaja,"Both the sisters were victimised and accordingly a case has been registered under 376 (Rape), 370 (trafficking of persons) of IPC and Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act."

The Case:

  • Twin sisters who hail from Nepal and were settled in Hyderabad were daughters of a clerk working in a Private Company.
  • The girls were allegedly were being raped for past many months with the involvement of their mother who had allowed the Father-Son duo to abuse the sisters for exchange of money.
  • One of the sisters who studies in class IV shared her trauma with her teacher.
  • The teacher in turn alerted an NGO working for child's rights.
  • The NGO took up the issue with DCP of Shamshabad and Police swung into action beginning the investigation and rescuing the victims.
  • The due and the family member have been taken into custody. Son of Jaffar was shifted to a children home and would be produced before a juvenile court.
  • The police said,"We are still talking to the victims. Since they are very young, they are unable to express how they were victimised and for how long they were subjected to such torture."
