Enraged mob torches police station in Deoria

Deroria: Enraged over recovery of the body of a Muslim youth, an agitated mob of villagers set afire Madanpura police station, about 25 km from district headquarters of Deoria.

The youth was missing since last three days and according to the allegations of the locals, police did nothing to search him who eventually was killed.

The police staff present in the police station ran away to save their lives even as some police men were injured in the attack of villagers. Several documents and property of police station got destroyed in the fire.

Additional police force was rushed to control the situation which was described as tense but under control.
