Election rivalry claims life of a dalit man in Shahjahanpur

Shahjahpur: A dalit man was beaten to death on Saturday night in Dhara village under Puvaya police station in Shahjahanpur district, said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramesh Kumar.

Election rivalry was the reason stated behind the murder.

The incident:

• Ram Avtar was beaten to death.
• He was the only bread earner of his family.
• Two accused were arrested in this connection.
• Tension prevailing in the village.
