SIT has got a big success in Chhattisgarh journalist Mukesh Chandrakar murder case. Murder accused Suresh has been taken into custody from Hyderabad. He is currently being questioned. Suresh is the contractor, in whose property's septic tank journalist Mukesh Chandrakar's body was found. According to the information, accused Suresh was taken into custody late night. There is also news that his wife has also been arrested. However, this has not been confirmed by the police.

Three arrests have already been made in this case. Thus, now 4 arrests have been made in this case. Police say that they have connected many links in this case. It is being told that a press conference can be held by the police to give more information about this case. Mukesh Chandrakar's body was found in a septic tank in a contractor's shed in Bastar, Chhattisgarh last week.

Mukesh was last seen leaving his house in Pujari Para in Bijapur on New Year's Day and his brother Yukesh filed a missing person's complaint the next day. After starting an investigation into the matter, the police found the body of 32-year-old Chandrakar in Chhatan Para Basti, not far from his house. Mukesh was a courageous and fearless journalist, he was also associated with NDTV on a freelance basis.

Mukesh worked as a freelance journalist for other news channels including NDTV and also ran a YouTube channel 'Bastar Junction', which has about 1.59 lakh subscribers. He played an important role in the release of Cobra Commando Rakeshwar Singh Manhas from the captivity of Maoists after the Tekalguda Naxalite attack in Bijapur in April 2021. 22 security personnel were martyred in this incident. A senior police officer said that Mukesh went missing on the night of January 1 and his elder brother Yukesh Chandrakar filed a police complaint the next day.

Mukesh established new dimensions in journalism in a difficult area like Basaguda in Chhattisgarh. He became the voice of the marginalized people. Mukesh was not just a journalist in Bastar, he was the voice of those people whose stories often remain unheard. Be it the pain of migration of tribals, the poor condition of roads, lack of schools and health facilities. Mukesh had made the issues of Bastar his life's mission.

The road being built from Gangalore to Nelsnar had more than 35 potholes in a radius of 1 kilometer. In this news, while Nilesh was telling the story, Mukesh was present behind the camera. The government took immediate action on this report, but this action proved fatal for Mukesh.

Mukesh gave a voice to his struggles through journalism. In an area like Basaguda, where even passing 10th is a big deal, he established new dimensions in journalism. Sometimes he worked as a Mahua weaver, sometimes in a garage. His childhood friend Vijay Morla told that he studied in Bansagudha. Salwa Judum came and we separated. I started living with my brother in Avapalli. Mother was an Anganwadi worker. I used to set up a shop at home, formed a carrom club. He and I used to go together to collect Mahua. It was in front of the camp in Bansagudha. There was a plum tree there, so we used to go there to eat.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma had announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate this murder case. Sharma said, "Suresh is the main accused in this case. He is a Congress leader and party official in Bijapur. Four police teams were formed to arrest him. The process of freezing his and other accused's bank accounts has begun. We have frozen three accounts of Suresh Chandrakar.
