6 people died and 40 were injured in a stampede near the ticket center for Baikunth Dwar Darshan at Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. It is being told that the stampede broke out while tokens were being distributed for darshan. Baikunth Dwar Sarvadarshanam is a special darshan lasting for 10 days, which is going to start from Friday. Let us tell you that this accident that happened in Tirupati temple is not the only such accident in the country. Many such incidents have come to the fore in the last two decades.

121 people died in a stampede during the satsang of Suraj Pal alias Bhole Baba in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. A Special Investigation Team i.e. SIT was formed to investigate this matter. This stampede took place in July 2024. The SIT investigation report stated how the stampede happened, what were the arrangements, who played what role, who is responsible for the incident. Statements of 128 people were recorded in the investigation report. Agra ADG Anupama Kulshreshtha and Aligarh Divisional Commissioner Chaitra V had prepared this report. This investigation report stated that the organizers are responsible for the accident, the local administration was also held accountable. Conspiracy cannot be ruled out, investigation is needed, the accident happened due to the negligence of the organizers. The local administration did not take the event seriously, 6 suspended including SDM, CO, Tehsildar. The SIT held the organizers guilty on the basis of eyewitnesses and evidence. The organizers took permission for the event by hiding facts. The tehsil level officials did not take the event seriously and did not even inform the higher officials. SDM gave permission without inspecting the venue. Organisers did not follow the set norms, people of the organising committee created chaos, organisers misbehaved with police, no barricading or passage was made to control crowd at the venue.
