In a tragic incident, 24 people including 12 children were killed and many others injured in a massive fire at a TRP game zone on Kalwad Road in Rajkot in Gujarat on Saturday. So far 25 people have been rescued by the fire brigade personnel.

According to the administration, the death toll may increase. The bodies of the deceased are so badly burnt that they could not be identified. A DNA test will be done for identification. The administration has not been able to tell yet how many people were present in the game zone at the time of the fire. The fire was brought under control in 3 hours.

Yash Patoliya, an eye witness said, 'We were sitting in the restaurant when the fire broke out. The fire spread to the entire area in just 30 seconds.'

Another person said that repair and renovation work was going on at many places in the game zone. A large number of plywood pieces and wood were also lying around. These also caught fire and the fire kept spreading.' However, it is not known what caused the fire.

While posting on X, PM Narendra Modi said, 'I am deeply saddened by the fire incident in Rajkot. My condolences are with all those who have lost their loved ones. The local administration is working to provide all possible assistance to the affected people.'




TRP Game Zone is owned by Yuvraj Singh Solanki and Manvijay Singh Solanki. Yuvraj Singh Solanki has absconded after the fire incident. Yuvraj had handed over the management of the game zone to Prakash Jain and Rahul Rathod.
