In yet another gruesome killing, reminiscent of the Shraddha Walkar murder case, a 56-year old man allegedly murdered his 32-year old live-in partner, chopped her body into pieces and fed them to dogs after boiling them in cooker in Mumbai.

According to the police officials, the killer, identified as Manoj Sane, has been arrested. Police said that they recovered some body parts of the victim from the fridge.

The officials said that Manoj, who lived in Mira Road locality, had a fight with the victim following which he killed her and then went on to chop the body into pieces. He then boiled the body parts in a pressure cooker and later on fed them to the street dogs. Manoj had been living with the victim at a rented flat on the 7th floor of Akashganga building on Mira Road area from the last three years.

Police said that they managed to apprehend the alleged killer after other residents of the building informed the police on Wednesday about a foul smell emanating from Manoj’s flat. Mumbai police DCP Jayant Bajwale said that they recovered pieces of a dead body from the flat. ‘’It appears that the victim was murdered three days ago,’’, he said.

Bajwale also said that the couple used to often get into fights with each other. The residents of the building also stated that he was seen feeding dogs for the last two-three days. He was never seen doing this before.

‘’We have taken the accused into custody. He is under interrogation’’, the police official said.
