IPL 2018 MI vs RCB: Rohit Sharma blasts 94 runs to guide Mumbai to 213/6

Mumbai: Skipper Rohit Sharma regained form to led Mumbai Indians (MI) to a huge total of 213/6 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Indian Premier League (IPL 2018) match at the Wankhede Stadium here on Tuesday.

Despite losing two wickets (Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan) on first two deliveries of the match, Rohit Sharma and Evin Lewis never looked under pressure and added 108 runs for the third wicket off only 66 balls.

Lewis departed at the individual score of 65 runs which came off only 42 deliveries and laced with 6 fours and 5 sixes. Rohit Sharma, however, did not stop here and continued his assault. He finally scored 94 runs off 51 balls and smashed 10 fours and 5 sixes.

Krunal Pandya scored 15 runs off 12 balls with a four and a six before getting run out. Kieron Pollard could not exploit the bowlers and went back after adding 5 runs off 7 balls. Hardik Pandya, who has been out of touch so far this IPL 2018 season, played an important cameo of 21 runs off just 6 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes.

Umesh Yadav was the most successful bowler picking up 2 wickets for 36 runs in 4 overs, while Corey Anderson was hit for 47 runs in four overs for two wickets. Chris Woakes also managed a wicket in his three overs giving away 31 runs.

Despite having a star-studded side, it is not going to be easy for RCB to chase down such a huge target of 214 runs.
