New Delhi: After two days of relief in petrol and diesel prices, the fire broke out again on Wednesday. Oil companies have directly increased by 35-35 paise per liter. Due to this, petrol became expensive in Delhi on Wednesday, reaching Rs 106.19 per liter. Diesel has also become costlier by 35 paise to Rs 94.92 per liter.

However, there was no change in the prices of petrol and diesel for the second time in a row on Tuesday, which brought relief to the consumers. But on Wednesday morning the prices changed again.

According to the price notification of state-owned fuel retailers, petrol price on Tuesday stood at Rs 105.84 per liter in Delhi and Rs 111.77 per liter in Mumbai. In Mumbai, diesel rates also remained stable at Rs 102.52 per liter, while in Delhi it is priced at Rs 94.57 as on Sunday.

The stagnation in prices on Tuesday came after four consecutive days of rising prices of both petrol and diesel by 1.40 paise per litre. There was no change in rates on October 12 and 13 also. With the rapid increase in diesel prices, the fuel is now available at more than Rs 100 per liter in many parts of the country. This difference was earlier for petrol, which crossed Rs 100 per liter across the country a few months back. Petrol prices had remained stable since September 5, but oil companies finally raised pump prices last week.

You can also know the price of petrol and diesel through SMS. According to the Indian Oil website, you need to write RSP and your city code and send it to the number 9224992249. The code for each city is different, which you will get from the IOCL website. Let us tell you that the prices of petrol and diesel change every day at 6 am. The new rates are applicable from 6 am onwards. After adding excise duty, dealer commission and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles.
