New Delhi: The country's major oil companies have released oil prices for Wednesday. State-owned oil companies IOC, BPCL and HPCL have not made any change in fuel prices today. There has been no change in fuel rates after the Center cut excise duty to bring retail rates below record high.

The government on November 3 cut excise duty on petrol by Rs 5 per liter and on diesel by Rs 10 per liter to provide relief to common people suffering from record high retail fuel prices. After this, many states and union territories have cut Value Added Tax (VAT) to give more relief to consumers from oil inflation.

The price of crude oil is rising in the international market. Crude oil prices have risen for the third consecutive day. On Wednesday, the price of Brent crude rose 0.16 percent to $ 75.56 per barrel. At the same time, the price of WTI Crude rose 0.14 percent to $ 72.15 per barrel. Let us tell you that due to the increasing case of new variants of Corona worldwide, Omicron, the price of crude oil fell from $ 82 to below $ 70 per barrel.

In Chennai, petrol is being sold at Rs 101.40 and diesel at Rs 91.43 per liter.

In Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, petrol is being sold at Rs 95.28 and diesel at Rs 86.80 per liter.
